01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Tucked away in the bustling Parque Internacional Industrial area of Tijuana, Kimchimix is a Korean restaurant that masterfully blends authentic flavors with a welcoming, casual atmosphere. This gem offers a vibrant taste of Korea through its carefully curated menu, where dishes like their richly seasoned ramen and flavorful Korean-Curry stand out as must-tries. The ramen, in particular, arrives steaming hot with perfectly balanced broth and just the right kick of spice, customizable thanks to their unique spicy scale that allows diners to dial the heat to their liking.

What truly elevates the dining experience at Kimchimix is the thoughtful attentiveness to guests’ needs. While the menu is not heavily focused on vegetarian options, the staff readily accommodate substitutions—swapping proteins like pork or chicken with tofu upon request. This flexibility reflects a genuine commitment to ensuring everyone can savor the bold and comforting tastes of Korean cuisine without compromise.

The ambiance at Kimchimix leans into a straightforward, no-fuss vibe, making it an inviting spot for both quick lunches and relaxed dinners. Portions are generous, offering great value without sacrificing quality—a sentiment echoed by many loyal patrons. One regular fondly mentions how their photo adorns the wall, a warm sign of the close-knit community this little restaurant fosters.

If you’re new to Korean food or even hesitant about it, Kimchimix might just change your mind. Even those not typically fans of Korean fare find themselves delighted by the perfectly seasoned dishes that carry flavors both familiar and excitingly distinct. While the drink selection is modest, featuring sodas and Fuze teas, the star remains firmly on the plate.

For those craving authentic Korean flavors infused with a local twist and served with accessible, friendly service, Kimchimix in Tijuana stands as a delicious and affordable choice. It's a place where warmth, flavor, and community blend beautifully with every bite.

What I like the most about this place is that it's affordable and the service is quick. They don't have a lot of vegetarian options in the menu but they are very accessible when you ask them to change the protein (pork, chicken etc.) for tofu, which they do for me most of the time. They have good ramen and a spicy scale so you can decide if the diss is the right for you.

I love this place. My picture is up on the wall. They offer Korean-Mexican fusion however I usually get the regular Korean food and it is good. Most dishes are quite good, I would totally recommend this place.

Curry is really good. I wish there would be additional options for drinks other than sodas and Fuze tea, but the food is really tasty and good. I have to drop by a second time and try the other stuff in the menu, but the restaurant has earned my respect at least for now.

Delicious... really good. I am not a fan of korean food but this is really well seasoned. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars... they serve really big portions...

KIMCHI MIX TIJUANA The pleace is small but the food is so great. My favorite dish in this place is a Seucas Dopbap (B5) with Moolmandu or Gunmandu. The seucas dopbap is a dish with crispy shrimp fries, korean rice and dressers (This is a lot like in the dish). The moolmandy or gunmandu it's so similar in the content but moolmandu is steamed and gunmandy is fried. This place is small but the theme is K-pop and Korean culture, on weekends you need to come in time. The price is a little expensive, I recomend you have arround 600 pesos. (Depending on what you consume for a several dishes).

Very tasty and the C7 dish was spicy. I just didn't enjoy the shells in the soup. I think that could be improved although it didn't take away from the experience.
